Datalogic Gryphon GFS4470 Configuration

Out of the box, some Datalogic Gryphon GFS4470 barcode scanners ship in a configuration that is not suitable for Green Security. Recommended configuration changes are listed below.

USB Interface

  1. Begin by ensuring that the barcode scanner is in USB Keyboard mode. This configuration change is performed by scanning the barcode below:

Operating Mode

By default, the barcode scanner will scan when it detects motion. If you would prefer to have the scanner continuously scan, perform the steps listed below.
Note: While in programming mode, you must hold down the blue button near the status LEDs to scan.

  1. Begin by scanning the Programming Mode barcode shown below to enter programming mode:

  2. Scan the Operating Mode (Automatic) barcode shown below:

  3. Scan the Programming Mode barcode shown below to exit programming mode:

Mobile Phone Bias

If the barcode scanner is primarily used to scan phone screens, a mobile phone bias may be set to improve scanning.
Note: While in programming mode, you must hold down the blue button near the status LEDs to scan.

  1. Begin by scanning the Programming Mode barcode shown below to enter programming mode:

Reset Barcode Scanner

  1. If the barcode scanner is not operating correctly, scan the barcode below to reset to factory defaults.
